Some months back, our clients were asking about using iPads with CarePoint, our 
server based therapy software application. After doing extensive research and developing a few applets, we found that using tablet based applets can be quite limiting because only a small portion of the application can realistically run directly on a tablet or iPad.

Namely, you can access our fully featured application over the Internet with an iPad using “thin client technology.” This technology allows users to connect securely to a server based application over the Internet using Remote Desktop or Citrix Neighborhood software. The benefits of accessing our application directly over the Internet as compared to using a limited use therapy software applet on an iPad are two-fold.

Firstly, users have real-time access to the latest patient information and other clinical and operational data on their central database.

Secondly, users have real-time access to all of the software features that they normally use on their server without having to be trained to use the applet.
