Daily Treatment Record is a simple planning tool and a quick entry screen.  As a planning tool, managers can assign patients to therapists, display treatment codes and planned minutes, and review RUG’s levels and ARD selections automatically.  As a quick entry screen, therapists can record treatments, identify and correct quality control and compliance errors, and record non-treatment time all in one simple screen.

Integrated Spreadsheet tools provide greater performance and flexibility to every report available in CarePoint, which offer exceptional access to all clinical or operational data as designed.  Beyond that, these powerful spreadsheet tools enable you to sort columns, export data to Excel for analysis, or print reports directly to PDF files.  This flexibility makes it easy to find and analyze the clinical and operational data you need immediately.

Automatic Patient Alerts inform you of quality control, compliance, or operational deficiencies that may exist in your database.  These alerts will appear automatically when you log in or schedule patients.  Any deficiencies noted can be addressed before scheduled treatments are performed.  Specific alerts include Evaluation Not EnteredTreatment Required Every 10th Visit, Patient Not Discharged, Medicare Part A Benefits Run Out In 7 Days, Patient in Assessment Period, Re-Certification Note Due In 3 Days, Medical/Treatment Diagnosis Missing, and much more.

Activity Monitor is the heart of our automatic compliance editing features.  CMS minute parameter, CCI Edit, composite treatment, once-per-day procedure, and other errors are identified.  The Activity Monitor is a “live” report.  This saves time because managers can correct errors right on the report.  Modifiers can be assigned to treatments with the click of a button.  The Activity Monitor will boost revenue by maximizing billing opportunities.  It will eliminate denials by identifying instances where minutes aren't sufficient for the units billed.

Clinical Management features are essential to managing quality and assuring full compliance with all federal and state regulations.  These include our Daily Notes, Weekly Progress Reports, Plans of Treatment, Patient Outcomes, Patient Profiles, Admission Tracking, and much more.

Treatment Plans provides a high level of quality assurance that CPT codes specified in your treatment plan will in fact be provided for the duration and frequency planned.  The Treatment Plan will help you achieve targeted RUG’s levels, maximize therapist productivity, and improve quality control over CPT codes used because it is integrated with our Daily Treatment Record, ARD Planner, and RUG’s Level features.

Patient Scheduling enables you to schedule patients and assign therapists automatically with the click of a mouse.  Once patients are assigned, schedules can be printed for one or more therapist or discipline.  Patient alerts such as re-certification dates, visit requirements, assessment periods, and more are displayed right in Patient Scheduling.  You can access the Treatment Plan, RUG’s levels, and Medicare Part B Caps utilization right from Patient Scheduling.

Maximize Appropriate Reimbursement .....

Medicare Part A Management features help manage patient care while ensuring appropriate reimbursement.  These features include our RUG’s Levels Calculator, ARD Planner, and Medicare Part A Management Report.  Easy-to-use tools help select the best RUG’s levels, manage planned minutes and ARD’s, track minutes needed for the next RUG’s level; and monitor excess minutes delivered and overrides used.

RUG’s Levels Calculator selects the best RUG's level automatically based upon the minutes and days of care provided. You can select alternative ARD’s with the click of a mouse. One setting will include grace days automatically in order to achieve the best RUG's levels possible across the broadest range of dates available.

ARD Planner confirms that the treatment plan was properly established, compares actual minutes to those required for each RUG’s level, and computes any shortfall in minutes and days required to achieve the targeted RUG’s level by the date selected.

Medicare Part B Caps features enable you to increase Medicare Part B revenue and eliminate denials by controlling the number of Medicare Part B visits remaining, managing the exceptions process before the caps are exceeded, and identifying inter-disciplinary referrals opportunities that may exist in order to maximize reimbursement for Medicare Part B treatments.
