Patient Central
Patient Central is a therapy management “cock pit,” providing all the information about a patient with the click of a button. A patient’s admission information, diagnoses, treatment plan, RUG’s levels, and the actual treatments performed can be entered or reviewed in one place without having to navigate through a series of windows to query or enter this information.
Daily Treatment Record
The Daily Treatment Record provides a simple tool for managers to plan and control therapist time and their patient caseload as well as a "quick" entry screen for therapists to record treatment and non-treatment time on a daily basis. The Daily Treatment Record used in conjunction with our Treatment Plan will help you achieve targeted RUG’s levels, maximize therapist productivity, and improve quality control over treatments provided.
The Daily Treatment Record is the only feature of CarePoint that most of your therapists will need to use making CarePoint easy to learn and even easier to use.
Treatment Plan
The Treatment Plan provides a high level of quality assurance that CPT codes specified in your treatment plan and the doctor’s orders will in fact be provided for the duration and frequency planned. The Treatment Plan will help you achieve targeted RUG’s levels, maximize therapist productivity, and improve quality control over CPT codes used because it is integrated with our Treatment Entry, ARD Planner, and RUG’s Level features.
Treatment Entry
Treatment Entry is a "quick" entry screen for therapists to record treatment time and other important data by patient on a daily basis. Therapists can check a patient’s treatment history, record session information like start and stop time and patient status, select CPT codes for entry from the treatment plan or historical data, and review and clear quality control and compliance alerts like CMS minute parameters, once per day procedures, conflict (mutually exclusive) codes, and codes requiring modifiers.
Treatment time can be entered, compared to treatment plans, checked for quality assurance, and edited all in one simple screen.
ARD Planner
The ARD planner enables your managers to compare planned minutes to those required for a targeted RUG’s level. This feature confirms that the treatment plan was properly established. More importantly, it provides the manager with a tool to compare actual minutes provided to those required for that RUG’s level. This feature calculates any shortfall in minutes and days required to achieve the targeted RUG’s level. Managers can select alternative ARD’s and RUG’s levels “on the fly” to manage treatments and get the best results easily.
RUG’s Level
RUG’s Levels will select the best RUG's level automatically based upon the minutes and number of discipline days of care provided. The Treatment Minutes By RUG's Day panel displays all 100 days. You can select alternative ARD’s by simply clicking on the column header for any ARD. The Recap By RUG's Period panel displays the revised RUG's level.
You can set CarePoint to automatically consider grace days when calculating the ARD in order to attain the highest RUG's levels possible across the broadest range of dates available.
Activity Edit Listing Quality Control & Compliance Management
The Activity Edit Listing is the heart of our automatic compliance editing features. CMS minute parameter, once-per-day procedure, composite treatment, CCI Edit, and other errors are identified. The Activity Edit Listing is a “live” report meaning most errors can be corrected right on the report saving managers time by eliminating the need to revisit Treatment Entry for editing.
The Activity Edit Listing will help boost revenue by identifying billing opportunities that might have been missed. Denials will be virtually eliminated by identifying instances where minutes aren't sufficient for the units billed. The Activity Edit Listing will help managers boost revenue and cut costs.
Billing Interface Facility UB-92 Billing
Our automatic Billing Interface tool will cut expenses and increase billing accuracy. Create a “clean” billing file, tested for compliance errors, to submit to your business offices electronically without having to re-key procedures into your billing system. This feature saves two days of labor in the business offices monthly.
This is a valuable tool for Contract Therapy providers because it enables them to offer a value added service to their clients at no cost that strengthens their service relationships.
